Operation eat till the freezer is empty is going well. We did have to run to the store for a few staples yesterday and because I know myself (Oh! this meat is on clearance! Let's buy 30lbs and freeze it!) I set a $50 budget and said this is the one and only time we would go. We nailed the budget (of course) but forgot a few things (of course.) Since the things we forgot are primarily used by me, I decided I was not going to break my rule and go pick them up. I would just have to wait until Saturday, when I go real grocery shopping again. That lasted until this afternoon when I made an emergency run for tea bags. I tried to do without, but that would be like most people doing without coffee. Not a pretty sight. I did forgo the Splenda, though.
The grocery run yielded things like spring mix, baby carrots, potatoes, milk, etc.
Now that we have room in our freezer it is time to fill it with smoked pork butts for the party. Of course, we will have him smoke some extras to keep for us. Yum!

LOL. I'd last just about as long if I ran out of tea or coffee. Some things are a necessity.
Exactly!
